Go Techie!

-Tech Skilling Accelerator

Go Techie provides vital tech skills for refugees with limited education, addressing barriers to employment and integration. Its curriculum covers basic computer literacy, coding, and digital communication, fostering practical learning through workshops and projects. The program emphasizes a supportive community, offering mentorship and soft skill development crucial for workplace success and cultural integration. Go Techie collaborates with local organizations to provide internships and job placement assistance, facilitating economic self-sufficiency.

Go Techie goes to Nakivale Refugee Settlement

In a strategic partnership, Tangaza Charity Initiative, a committed non-profit organization, and the GoSoapy Group, a grassroots refugee community organization, are collaborating on this transformative project. This project is meticulously designed to confront the daunting challenges that confront the Nakivale refugee community in Uganda. Foremost among these challenges is the profound digital divide, compounded by a critical deficiency in financial literacy.

At its core, this project embodies a holistic solution to empower refugees in the Nakivale community. It aims to equip them with vital digital skills, enhance financial literacy, and unlock latent entrepreneurial potential. Addressing complex challenges such as limited educational access and economic opportunities, this intervention emerges as an essential lifeline.
